Grace Coenraad
Grace Coenraad’s early work consisted primarily of persistent crosshatched fields of lines that covered the page and hid any trace of an underlying image. A few years ago, inspired by the work of Creative Growth artist Donald Mitchell, she started to create the faces and forms that she had buried on the page. Grace’s work is now filled with figures and forms. She works very close to the page and is known for her “Graces”, self-portraits in various medium. Grace has exhibited and sold her work at The Canvas Gallery in Juneau, Alaska. |
