This project started to take form during my 3 years (seasonal 04-06) at the Taku Glacier Lodge. Being very involved with the landscape, nature and travel photography prior to my arrival in Alaska, I was instantly captivated around every corner. Living and working full time at the Take Lodge, I quickly started learning about the region’s history, current-day residents and the Taku River Watershed. With a desire to search out more knowledge about the region, I set forth with a personal commitment to create this body of work. My ultimate goal for the works I create about the region is to assist in the lasting efforts to conserve one of the most unique environments in the world.
